Description of Speech Day. The guest speaker was Sir Alfred Dale, Vice Chancellor of Liverpool University. He commented on the neglect of girls' education in the past. Miss Burstall commented on the increasing awareness of the importance of girls' education including the introduction of certificates for housecraft and secretarial work and the need to avoid outside distractions. Prof Tout commented that more girls were wearing their hair "up" to make them look more mature.
