Report of a speech given by Kenneth Lindsay, Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Education at the annual conference of the Lancashire and Cheshire Head Teachers' Association. He commented on the importance of flexibility in education and referred to the school as having "valuable experience in the teaching of those less academic subjects and in working out a technique which would combine all that was best in the new type of secondary school with all that was best in the traditional." He criticised a speech in which Hitler had said that in Germany, "youth was growing up which we shall educate to think as Germans." [sic].
