Regret at the deaths of the following: Mr Moodie [governor], Gladys Cooke [pupil],

Winifred Chadwick [pupil]. The parents of Winifred Chadwick have given a bookcase to the school for use by the girl guide company.

Great improvements have been made to the playing fields. The sports pavilion was opened on 30 March 1927 by Mrs Dixon. From money raised by a "dramatic entertainment" given by the staff improvements [details given] have been made to the stage and other equipment [details given] has been bought.

 

The guest on Speech Day was Miss Ashton. The guest on Founders' Day was Canon Peter Green. A gym display was held at the Whitworth Hall on Founders' Day. Details given of other entertainments during the year.

 

General comments on academic success.

 

The school's financial position is sound. Thanks to Mr Burditt as Chairman of the House and Finance Committee.
