Regret at the death of Prof Tout. Details given of his contribution to the school and that of his wife, Mrs Tout.

 

A portraits of Miss Day painted by Mrs Pickstone was presented to the school by Philippa Esdaile and a portrait of Miss Burstall by Gretchen Tydeman was given to the school.

 

The guest on Speech Day was the Mayor of Manchester, Mr Noton [sic] Barclay. His wife presented the prizes. The Founders' Day guest was P M Oliver. Brief reference to his speech.
