Regret at the death of Sir Edward Donner and details of his contribution to the school. Regret at the death of Sir Horace Lamb, another former governor and at the retirement from the governing body of Lady Moberly.  Welcome to Miss E W Barlow, Mr C Clegg and Miss D L Pilkington.

 

Congratulations to Dr Catherine Chisholm on being awarded the CBE.

 

The guest on Founders' Day was Prof Dodd and on Speech Day was Lady Moberly. Brief details about the themes of their speeches which included reference to the jubilee of Pendleton High School for Girls.

The new "heating installation system" and canteen in the sports pavilion have been a "boon."

General comments on the range of school activities which included a subscription of £14 for the Gresford Colliery disaster.

Lectures [details given] were given by Prof Webster and Mr Padmore. There was a concert in aid of the Eira Jupe fund.

Several forms presented the school with some "beautifully executed needlework."

The new school uniform was established by the wearing of the summer dress on Speech Day.
