Report

By the opening of the summer term 1950, all the school were at Grangethorpe. The Prep were still in Didsbury. By 12 July the hall was in daily use and there was a special assembly on that morning.

Regret at the resignations from the governing body of Alderman Wright Robinson and Alderman Mrs Fletcher. Welcome to Bishop Wilson, Bishop of Manchester. Congratulations to Mr Wellesley Orr and Mrs Fletcher [details given].

 

The speakers on Founders' Day and Speech Day were Miss Ursula Bozman and Sir Henry Clay. Summaries given of the themes of their speeches. Dr Clarke was unable to attend Founders? Day.
