Editorial
There has been a lot of building work, as a result "a fine greenhouse has been rising at the top of the kitchen wing overlooking Portsmouth Street. All this means we are to have a Biological Laboratory for the study of botany and zoology under the proper conditions and that a new Cookery School is being built and fitted up on the middle floor of the wing over the kitchen and scullery. The old Physical Laboratory, as it was originally, has had extra windows in walls and roof put into it and is to be furnished with benches etc. The greenhouse will open out of the laboratory."
The school was inspected by officials from Manchester University and the Board of Education. The inspectors were Mr Cardew, Mr Fletcher, Mr Hards, Mr Allport, Mr Lloyd, Dr Somervell, Miss Degani, Prof Conway, Prof Weiss.
