The school now has 600 pupils which is the limit of its numbers, when the school assembles in the hall "there does appear to be a vast array of plaits and form-colours."
Lady Bryce [nee Marion Ashton] visited the school. She was a governor 25 years ago. Her 2 sisters, Miss Margaret Ashton and Mrs Broadhurst are now governors.
