1915 June

Editorial

"Since the last appearance of our magazine, the war has made even greater demands on us than before. Friends and brothers on our Roll of Honour have laid down their lives and we have been called on to continue our work for the troops, the wounded and the poor in our district. Parcels of woollen comforts have been sent off, games for the wounded, jam for various organisations and respirators for British and Belgian troops .....A great many old girls are engaged in relief work, serving in Red Cross Hospitals and taking the places of men who have enlisted." Miss Chisholm, Miss Deanesley and Miss Powicke "have gone to take up other work."
