The Jubilee

A special committee of governors, staff and old girls is making arrangements for the celebrations for the Jubilee of the school in January 1924. Founders' Day will be held in the Free Trade Hall and the guest speaker will be Dr William Temple the Bishop of Manchester. There will also be a party and, by special request of the local branch of the Headmistress' Association, a thanksgiving service at Manchester Cathedral similar to that which was held in 1922 for the schools of the GPDST.

Competitions have been organised to pay off the debt on the School Magazine. "We are anxious to improve the Magazine and make it popular and interesting: articles of a more humorous character are desired."

Speech Day

At Speech Day Mr Padmore spoken of the new playing fields, the coming Jubilee and the resignation of Miss Burstall.
