Mr F Padmore said that the response to the Jubilee appeal had been disappointing but he thanked Edward Donner for his contribution.
Miss Clarke spoke of the changes in the school curriculum and regret at the departure of Miss Harrison.
The guest speaker, Sir Henry Myers, Vice-Chancellor of Manchester University, said that as more was being demanded of schools they must start to take short cuts, eg learning two subjects at the same time, eg history and geography.
