Mr Padmore said that all the school debt had been wiped out "by rigid economy and the greatest care." Miss Clarke reported that over 100 former pupils are studying at 13 English universities. The guest speaker, the Duchess of Atholl MP and Under Secretary of State for Education, spoke of the school's distinguished history, the importance of exams and of a life of service.
