The reunion of the Old Girls' Federation took place in May 1933. Among those there was the Lady Mayoress of Manchester, she will also be the speaker on Speech Day.

Description of the third Federation meeting at which Doris Peattie [nee Walker] the Lady Mayoress of Manchester and an old girl was the guest of honour. Toasts were proposed by Joan Wilcock, Miss Burstall, Philippa Esdaile and Lady Russell [nee Eleanor Oldham]. Miss Clarke gave a speech [details given]. Miss Burstall and Miss Clarke led the prayers in the hall. A Benevolent Fund was set up to which donations were given by Miss Burstall and Beatrice Holme. It was regretted that travel difficulties have so far made the formation of a Western branch of the Old Girls' Federation impossible. Jessie Skemp [nee Clarkson] has agreed to compile of list of old girls who live in that area. The next Federation meeting will be held in Manchester because it will be the Diamond Jubilee of the school. Philippa Esdaile presented Miss Clarke and Miss Burstall with silver life member badges. A Manchester centre Debating Society has been formed and information can be gained from Gudrun Langford.

Miss Burstall and Miss Clarke with 48 of the 183 members attended the Spring meeting. Two alterations to the Constitution [details not given] were agreed. A resolution supporting the establishment of the Benevolent Fund was passed. The resignations of Hilda Johnstone, Gertrude Clement and Miss Macklin were accepted with regret. There will be a meeting on a Thursday for members who cannot be away from home on Saturdays and Fridays.

Miss Burstall attended a meeting at which the establishment of a Benevolent Fund was agreed and a resolution to that effect was sent to Philippa Esdaile. A meeting was held at which old girls and former members of staff who attended the Headmistresses' Conference in Liverpool were there, namely Miss Jackson, Miss Nuttall, Miss Scott and Miss Bailey as well as Miss Burstall.

A meeting of about 14 members was held at the house of Isabel Mindelsohn. Miss Burstall presided and Enid Almond represented the Manchester Society. Isabel Mindelsohn and Daisy Brady were elected as Vice Presidents. Miss Clarke sent news of the school.

The orchestra continues to play the hymn and the march in on Wednesday morning assembly. In January it provided the accompaniment for Founders' Day for the first time.
