Description of the AGM of the Association for Promoting the Education of Women. A discussion about the reluctance of Owens College to admit women students. Includes some comments about the position of women in society including women's political rights, a reference to Helen Taylor who had criticised her inability to be an MP and the comments of the following: Dean Cowie, Rev S Steinthal, Bishop of Manchester, Canon Woodhouse, Prof Wilkins.

Edward Donner describes the growth of the school, the inspection reports, the award of scholarships to Margaret Lomax and Annie Rayner and the plans to build new a new school.
