a transcript of a declaration by the Headmistress that she will discharge her duties to the best of her ability and will, if necessary, accept dismissal and will relinquish all further claim to the office of Headmistress, the salary and all property belonging to the school. The name Elizabeth Day has been crossed out the name Sara A Burstall substituted although the name has first been written as Sarah and has itself been crossed out. The date, the 8 day of August 1884 has been crossed out in pencil and Semtens [sic] 1898 substituted.
