The archive of Manchester High School for Girls contains about six thousand photographs dating from the foundation of the school in the 1870s to the present day. They illustrate all aspects of the school's history. All but the most recent have been catalogued and digitised.

Many of those shown in the photographs have been identified and their names and other relevant details have been included in the catalogue.    

Most of the photographs dating from the 1870s to 1906 have been included on this website. A few have been omitted because of their poor quality.
